DESTINATION: TRUTH

And so I felt like writing about right and wrong, good and bad…about truth and lie.

Quite randomly, at the age of 27, I came into conclusion that there is no such thing as bad person.

There are indecent actions,
wrong words,
but no bad people.

Before throwing an arrogant sneer at my words ask a person who you think is apparently indecent “are you a bad person?” Will he/she agree? NO. They would bury you into million excuses to justify their acts in rightfulness of which they would sincerely believe. You may agree or you may, most likely, see the same matter totally differently but you can never see exactly what they see.

The truth is out there…We all know that. But how can we determine whether your representation of 'TRUE' is right? According to Socrates, it is not in human nature to choose to act in a way what one believes to be harmful, instead of a way that is good. Indeed, would you call a man who killed to protect his family a bad person? Or if you see a mother lying to her child that the medicine is sweet so that her child takes it, would you say she did a bad thing just because she lied? I am sure you would hesitate.

When we look at the logics behind human behaviours and motivation, the concept begins to make more sense: we act in certain way (good or bad) as we strongly believe that we are doing the right thing.  But that very notion of a “right thing” may not be right at all to our counterpart. Hence we argue.
They say truth is born in arguments? How many times we were in an argument that did not produce any absolute truth, but made things even worse? Pause here.

An ABSOLUTE truth? Is there any?
I think to understand that there is no such thing as an Absolute Truth is to find answers to many of your questions. Everything in this world is relative (many would disagree). Our personal truth is relative. Sometimes it is hard to accept that and it is almost impossible for a person to admit to his counterpart that they may be right in their own way. We rarely do.

If human beings had power and will to accept relativity of TRUTH, we could avoid disasters...

Sleep on it.
